Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus XL cargo spacecraft departs the International Space Station after delivering nearly 11,000 pounds (4,990 kilograms) of supplies, scientific equipment and other cargo. The departure marks a major milestone in NASA’s CRS-24 resupply mission. The spacecraft is released from the orbital laboratory using the station’s Canadarm2 robotic arm, while NASA prepares for its eventual destructive re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere.
