Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed on October 10 that its air defences had intercepted 725 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones and two US-made HIMARS rockets in a 24-hour period, while reporting advances across several sectors of the Ukraine war. The ministry said its Sever Group had taken control of Lukashovo and Lobanovka in the Kharkiv region, while its Tsentr Group reported advances in central and northwestern Dobropillya and claimed to have thwarted two Ukrainian breakout attempts. Moscow also reported strikes on Ukrainian defence-industrial facilities, drone production workshops and military deployment areas across 151 locations. Its latest update included claims of Ukrainian personnel and equipment losses across the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia fronts, alongside cumulative figures for drones, tanks and artillery allegedly destroyed since the start of the war. The claims could not be independently verified, and battlefield assessments remain contested. #russiaukrainew
