A political storm is brewing in Washington after President Donald Trump’s reported diesel deal with Russia triggered fierce opposition from several Republican lawmakers. Representatives Brian Fitzpatrick and Don Bacon are preparing legislation to block US purchases of Russian oil, arguing that easing restrictions could undermine pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin and help fund Moscow’s war against Ukraine. Fitzpatrick says the proposed Ronald Reagan Peace Through Strength Act could be brought to the House floor through a discharge petition, which requires 218 signatures to force a vote without House leadership’s approval. #donaldtrump #russia #vladimirputin #uspolitics #republicans #russianoil #dieseldeal #ukrainewar #volodymyrzelensky #uscongress #russiasanctions #usrussiarelations #energycrisis #houseofrepresentatives Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
