An apparent deal between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin allowing Russia to supply diesel to global markers is a “terrible mistake” both “politically and economically” an analyst said. Trump responded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s criticism of the deal by calling for new leadership in Ukraine and calling on him to stop hitting Russian oil refineries. Ian Kelly, a former US Ambassador to Georgia, said that Trump’s response was predictable, given the contentious relationship between the two leaders. But, he said, “it's up to the Ukrainian people to decide when they're going to have elections for their next president.” Prices for diesel, used for agriculture, heating homes and trucking, are near a record and risk for Trump's fellow Republicans ahead of the November 3 congressional elections. Diesel prices fell after the announcement, but analysts said the deal may not be enough to keep them down. For more videos subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/@NDTVProfit
