Residents oppose proposed closure of regional development authorities

Residents from across ten counties have voiced their opposition TO the closure of regional development authorities, saying the institutions have enhanced the lives of marginalised communities, and catalysed the delivery of critical projects in the grassroots. In public participation fora that were held in Isiolo and Narok counties, beneficiaries of the Ewaso Ng’iro North and EWASO NYIRO South development authorities respectively called for the institutions to be strengthened through internal restructuring as well as additional resource mobilisation.
