US President Donald Trump’s proposed diesel deal with Russia has triggered a fresh war of words with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump has accused Zelensky of blocking a potential deal with Moscow and called on Ukraine to hold elections and ‘get a new leader’. Zelensky, meanwhile, has criticised the US-Russia deal as a weak decision, as tensions between Washington and Kyiv deepen. The row comes as Russia continues to launch deadly attacks across Ukraine. Trump announced the diesel deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 9, under which Russia would export diesel to the United States and global markets amid mounting pressure over rising fuel prices. The proposed deal has drawn criticism from Kyiv and European leaders, who warn that easing pressure on Moscow could help fund Russia’s war in Ukraine. --- Donald Trump | Volodymyr Zelensky | Trump Rebukes Zelensky | US Russia Deal | Trump Zelensky Clash | Russia Ukraine War | US Russia Relations | Trump Ukraine Po
