In his first interview since Oscar Bergal was shot by plainclothes federal agents in New York City, Mayor Zohran Mamdani details his response to violence that he says “left New Yorkers in terror.” Bergal remains in ICE custody after a series of unsuccessful negotiations between the mayor, President Trump and DHS Secretary Mullin. “For the Secretary, none of this was an issue, none of the critiques and concerns you’re hearing from people across the city and across the country was an issue,” he said. ICE agents are “making a mockery of what law and order is supposed to be.” MS NOW: My Source for News, Opinion, and the World. » Subscribe to MS NOW: https://www.youtube.com/@msnow Become an MS NOW Member!
