Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday welcomed US President Donald Trump's announcement of an immediate Russia-Ukraine energy ceasefire, saying Kyiv was prepared to stop striking Russian energy facilities if Moscow reciprocated. In a video address, Zelensky described the announcement as “good news for everyone” and said Ukraine supported credible initiatives to halt the fighting and end the war. Trump said Russia and Ukraine had agreed to stop targeting each other's energy infrastructure but provided no details on implementation or enforcement. Zelensky had earlier told media the announcement was news to him, adding that Ukraine would agree to an energy ceasefire if Russia did the same. The announcement follows tensions between Washington and Kyiv over Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries, which Trump has said contributed to higher US diesel prices and disrupted global fuel supplies. Zelensky recently criticised a separate US-Russia arrangement allowing Russian diesel
