Russia has attacked a power plant in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv despite President Donald Trump’s statement earlier Sunday that both sides had agreed to an "energy ceasefire," according to Ukrainian officials. A local official told ABC News the thermal power plant CHP-5 was struck at least twice, causing a fire. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a statement confirmed Russia had attacked the plant, as well as another in Kyiv, saying it had taken place after Trump's announcement. ––– Subscribe to ABC News on YouTube: https://abcnews.visitlink.me/59aJ1G ABC News is your daily source of breaking national and world news, exclusive interviews and 24/7 live streaming coverage. https://abcnews.com Download the ABC News app for the latest headlines and alerts: https://abcnews.com/devices Connect with ABC News on social media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ABCNews Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/abcnews TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@abcnews X: https://twitter.com/A
