Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of violating a proposed energy ceasefire on October 12, saying Russian jet-powered Shahed drones struck a gas production facility and a gas station in Ukraine after U.S. President Donald Trump announced an immediate halt to attacks on energy infrastructure. Speaking at the Warsaw Security Forum in Poland, Zelenskyy said Kyiv was awaiting details of discussions between Washington and Moscow and urged the United States to increase pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin rather than offer sanctions relief or concessions. Trump announced the purported Russia-Ukraine energy truce in a social media post on October 11 but provided few details. The claims of violations and the status of the proposed ceasefire had not been independently verified in the supplied report. The developments come amid Russia's war against Ukraine, now in its fifth calendar year. #zelenskyy #ukraine #russia #putin #trump #russiaukrainewar #ukrainewar #energy
