Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Monday criticised politicians advocating cuts to military and financial assistance for Ukraine, accusing them of acting out of “betrayal, stupidity, or money” and arguing that weakening Kyiv would undermine their own countries’ security and sovereignty. Speaking at the Warsaw Security Forum, Tusk said peace could not be achieved through weakness and called on Europe and the United States to intensify pressure on Russia, particularly through stronger sanctions. He also said Russia had responded to US President Donald Trump’s proposal for an immediate energy truce with an attack on energy infrastructure in Kharkiv, according to his remarks. Tusk vowed that Poland would not be intimidated into reducing its support for Ukraine, adding that Ukraine, Poland and the wider Western alliance could not be broken by Russian pressure. #donaldtusk #poland #ukraine #ukrainewar #russia #russiaukrainewar #putin #donaldtrump #ukraineaid #militaryaid #russiansanction
