Grab a MICROSLOP T-SHIRT! https://store.gamersnexus.net/products/microslop-parody-t-shirt Micron has discovered an infinite money glitch: Just keep increasing the price, or something. It was that simple all along. Micron's consumer margin is now a disgusting 90%, multiplying what they make versus prior quarters. That's in spite of the company killing Crucial in December of last year, which was its direct-to-consumer line of system components. The company still has consumer parts, but seeing them continue to skyrocket in margin and price after cutting Crucial tells us just how much money these companies are making. In its latest earnings report, Micron noted that it expects the "shortage" to continue into 2027 and 2028 at least, with several of its customers -- like the big AI hyperscalers -- wanting contract extensions beyond 2030.
