Hundreds of Brisbane families have been caught up in the collapse of a major Queensland childcare operator. Edge Early Learning will close seven centres across the city tomorrow with parents given less than 48 hours to find a new place. 9 in 10 children at risk of abuse or neglect had to wait more than three days to be seen by the Child Safety department. The failures have been exposed by Amanda Camm, who's also declared that residential care has "stabilised." Police have confirmed a body found in a livestock trough near Murwillumbah last week is missing grandmother Yvonne Whear.
