Heavy police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel were deployed at Rajabazar Crossing in Kolkata ahead of a Trinamool Congress (TMC) protest against the Centre and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on October 13, 2026. The protest march, announced by the Mamata Banerjee-led faction of the party, was planned from Rajabazar to Park Circus. The TMC has demanded Gyanesh Kumar’s removal and criticised the alleged police action against opposition protesters in New Delhi. The demonstration comes amid a wider political dispute over electoral roll revisions and demands for accountability from the Election Commission. #TMC #MamataBanerjee #GyaneshKumar #Kolkata #TMCProtest #ElectionCommission #CEC #WestBengalPolitics #PoliticalProtest #IndiaNews The Hindu’s Special documentary Gandhi for Gen Z: The Mahatma is suddenly cool again https://youtu.be/H1826_OhPzA?si=hTHLFktE3gZgqAIM Thank you for watching our video!
