As the Ukrainian capital Kyiv continues under constant drone and missile assault, ITV News International Editor Emma Murphy witnessed how running for your life has become normal for its residents. The sirens go day and night in Kyiv now. The apps on the phones squark their alerts, as an eerie wail blasts from the city’s loud speakers. Their warning is the same, incoming trouble. Sometimes it’s drones, often jet powered, sometimes it’s ballistic missiles. Whichever, they are coming with speed and menace as Ukrainian forces try to intercept them. These days interception is more difficult given the deficit of air defence ammunition. We were filming at a market over the weekend when another alert went off. Ballistic this time, sending those shopping or selling scrambling for cover. We ran with them towards the metro as a tell-tale white trace soared through the sky, followed by the sounds of explosions. • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking new
