City Council Members Nantasha Williams, who represents parts of Southeast Queens, and Lincoln Restler, who represents parts of Northern Brooklyn, joined “Inside City Hall” to discuss their plan to reform enrollment at specialized high schools in New York City. Restler says that 20 years ago, 40% of students at specialized city high schools were Black and Latino. That number today stands at 10% despite the demographic comprising more than 60% of students in NYC public schools. #NY1 #NYC #News #politics #education #newyorkcity -------- For more on this and the latest NYC news: http://specne.ws/NY1YT Watch live news: http://specne.ws/YTliveSN Get the Spectrum News App on all your favorite devices: http://specne.ws/GetSNApp2
