Donald Trump has revealed his latest cudgel against media freedom on the United States: an antitrust investigation targeting the major broadcasters who suspended the White House press pool  coverage in protest to the ban of CNN, MS NOW and Politico. As press freedom watchers noted, there is no legal basis for such an investigation, but it was noisily demanded by right-wing conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer.
