Anti-CEC protests flared up in Delhi as Connaught Place became the main demonstration hub following the police de-notification of Jantar Mantar. On October 13, student outfits including NSUI, Disha Students Organisation, Naujawan Bharat Sabha, and Revolutionary Workers Party organized flash protests across Connaught Place and Janpath. Protesters demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, the rollback of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, and the immediate release of detained Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders. Heavy police and paramilitary deployments resulted in mass detentions to clear traffic. With alternative sites like Ramlila Maidan largely booked, Delhi Police requested extended deployment of central forces as the Supreme Court prepares to hear related petitions on October 15. #alicecprotests #connaughtplace #jantarmantar #delhipolice #cjp #gyaneshkumar #sir #nsui Thank you for watching our video!
