Nigel Farage has denied that Reform UK would authorise troops to routinely use lethal force against migrants crossing the Channel, after MP Robert Jenrick said the Royal Marines should be allowed to use it if necessary. Farage said soldiers could respond if fired upon and insisted the party would return migrants to France if elected. Defence Minister Luke Pollard called the proposal “disgusting and illegal”.
