The Golden State Valkyries were viewed as nothing more than an expansion team two seasons ago. Gabby Williams had visions of becoming a household name while Natalie Nakase was out to prove herself as a head coach. From winning the franchise’s first-ever series against the Dallas Wings in Round 1 to sweeping the defending champion, A’ja Wilson-led Las Vegas Aces, it’s safe to say Williams, Nakase, and Golden State are more than a team with potential. In fact, they are on the verge of being crowned as champions. Chiney Ogwumike and Jason Joseph examine how the Valkyries were able to dismantle the Aces as they march to the WNBA Finals.
