At least 13 children died after a boat carrying around 20 people capsized in the Ganga River in Bihar’s Vaishali district. The boat was heading to a village feast when it sank on Tuesday night. Survivors recounted how water filled the boat, forcing passengers to jump into the river. PM Narendra Modi and Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary announced compensation for the families of the deceased.
