Mafia 3: Definitive Edition for PS5 might seem like not much has changed since its latest update, but spend some time with it, and you’re going to see it looks and feels so much better thanks to better framerates and improved visuals that come with a lot of polish. The result is an experience that takes a strong story and enjoyable combat, despite a repetitive mission structure, and presents them so well it’s easy to forget you’re playing a ten-year-old game. Of course, reminders of its age do crop up from time to time, as do the same issues of poor pacing and repetition that are fundamental flaws in its design.
