“The animal’s wildness must be respected.” Actor and animal welfare campaigner Peter Egan joins Kevin O’Sullivan to discuss the fatal tiger attack described in the interview—and question the safety and purpose of zoo enclosures. Egan expresses sympathy for the man’s family while challenging how a visitor could reach a dangerous wild animal. “How was it possible that this person could get into this enclosure with such ease?” The discussion turns to barriers, public protection and whether keeping wild animals as visitor attractions puts entertainment ahead of their welfare. “They are all animals that are not designed to be in an enclosure.” Kevin argues that the tiger should not be blamed for behaving naturally, while Egan calls for greater respect for animals’ wildness. #PeterEgan #ZooSafety #AnimalWelfare #TalkTV Have you got a story?
