In recent weeks the "Cornell 7" case has become internationally known, prompting many to ask why there are such systemic barriers to justice in cases of alleged sexual violence. Many students at Cornell don't see this as an isolated tragedy, but as an example of all that's wrong with US elite institutions. Ahead of a planned no-confidence vote by the faculty senate, the university announced Tuesday that it would ban fraternity parties for the rest of the year and bring experienced sexual assault investigators aboard its campus police force. #dwcurrentaffairs #cornell7 For more news go to: http://www.dw.com/en/ Follow DW on social media: ►Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dwnews ►TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dwnews ►Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/deutschewellenews/ ►Twitter: https://twitter.com/dwnews ►Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/user/DWNews/ Für Videos in deutscher Sprache besuchen Sie: https://www.youtube.com/dwdeutsch Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/user/deu
