UK politics has been drawn into a fresh Brexit controversy after Andy Burnham faced questions from Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch over his comments about alleged Russian interference in the 2016 referendum. Badenoch challenged Burnham in the House of Commons to clarify whether he believed the result was legitimate and to provide evidence for claims that Russia had influenced the vote. Burnham denied implying that Russia had changed the referendum outcome, while referring to alleged Russian interference in the 2019 general election. His earlier comments on The Rest Is Politics podcast have reignited debate over what interference occurred and whether it affected the result. Russia has not commented on the claims, and the supplied account does not establish that any alleged interference changed the referendum outcome. --- Andy Burnham Brexit Row | Russia Brexit Interference Claims | Kemi Badenoch Questions Burnham | Brexit Referendum 2016 | UK Parliament Clash | Russian Meddling Clai
