Iran is reportedly reinforcing defences around its nuclear facilities and border regions as tensions with the United States persist ahead of the November 3 midterm elections. A Wall Street Journal report says Tehran has warned regional governments that fresh American strikes could trigger retaliation across West Asia, including attacks on Saudi Arabia's oil infrastructure. Iran has also threatened critical digital assets, including communication cables, data centres and artificial intelligence facilities. US President Donald Trump has warned Tehran against pursuing nuclear weapons, but has not announced a timeline for renewed military action.
