The Wall Street Journal published an explosive investigation reporting that Donald Trump Jr.'s ex-fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle asked a Trump donor to pay off her $100,000 bill to American Express. The donor, Eric Deters, had been seeking her help with personal tax and legal issues from the incoming Trump administration, and Giulfoyle had been a nominee for Ambassador to Greece. Former prosecutor Perry Carbone, who brought corruption cases during his tenure, said that the text messages published with the investigation appear to be "damning."
