In a stunning October surprise, the Wall Street Journal revealed the latest scandal surrounding Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton: Two years ago on New Year's Eve, Paxton partied with two fugitives from U.S. justice and a woman who wasn't his wife — and there's video of it. Paxton's political tenure has been marked by scandal, including state and federal investigations, a securities fraud indictment, an impeachment by a GOP-controlled legislature, and ugly divorce proceedings. Will this latest episode be the latest that ends Paxton's political career and pushes James Talarico into the U.S. Senate as the first Democrat to win statewide office in Texas since 1994?
