Protests in the national capital escalated into their fifth consecutive day as hundreds took to the streets demanding the rollback of SIR (Special Intensive Revision) and the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. On Wednesday, police cracked down on multiple demonstrations across Delhi even as members of the Students' Federation of India (SFI), Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Indian Youth Congress (IYC) launched a march before being immediately clamped down and detained by police and security forces. Meanwhile, an emergency meeting of civil society groups, farmer unions, worker organizations, and youth bodies led to the formation of a united platform—'People against SIR'. Addressed by activist Tara Rao, actor Prakash Raj, and Kisan Sabha representatives, the platform announced a nationwide march slated for October 23. #DelhiProtests #SIR #GyaneshKumar #StudentsFederationOfIndia #DYFI #IndianYouthCongress #PeopleAgainstSIR Thank you for watching o
