I just walked out of Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s You Can See Everything, the nearly three-hour A24 documentary on Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, and I’m giving you my raw, unfiltered reaction right now. This is not your typical true-crime doc. Fielder, the mind behind Nathan For You and The Rehearsal, spent three years inside Holmes’s world, and the film follows her in the final stretch before she reported to federal prison. It’s strange, uncomfortable, and unlike anything else out this year. Is it a documentary, a psychodrama, a character study, or something else entirely? I get into it. In this video: My immediate gut reaction How Fielder’s style shapes the film What the film does differently from The Inventor, Valley of Hype, and The Dropout Whether the runtime earns its length Final thoughts, with no major spoilers Heads up: this is an immediate post-screening reaction, so I’m keeping spoilers to a minimum. A full review is coming soon. 🎬 Did you see it? Drop yo
