A military court in the Syrian city of Aleppo has sentenced two people to death for their roles in mass killings in March last year. Two people were also acquitted in the trial while others were sentenced to prison for the killing of hundreds of civilians on Syria's west coast. The 10 defendants included loyalists to the former regime and members of the new government's security forces. It's the first time government-linked personnel have been put on trial for acts of violence. Al Jazeera’s Heidi Pett reports from Damascus, Syria.
