India has raised concerns at the United Nations over the human rights situation in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), asking the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights when it plans to issue a report on Pakistan's response to concerns regarding killings, detentions and internet restrictions. Speaking at the UN General Assembly's Third Committee, Indian diplomat Anuj Swarup referred to earlier UN statements that called for impartial investigations, due process for detained leaders and unrestricted internet access in PoK. India also questioned what it described as selective approaches to human rights issues and urged greater accountability from Pakistan on conditions in territories under its control.
