All three metro lines in Kyiv briefly halted on Wednesday after a power failure disrupted services following Russian strikes on energy infrastructure, Ukrainian authorities said. Footage from Chernihivska metro station showed empty tracks, dimly lit platforms and passengers waiting beside a stationary train. The Kyiv City State Administration said services on the Red, Blue and Green lines were temporarily suspended for a few minutes due to a loss of external power, before resuming normal operations. The disruption followed hours of Russian missile and drone attacks on Kyiv and Kharkiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said 30 energy facilities had been hit nationwide, leaving at least 600,000 people without electricity. Authorities also reported water supply disruptions in parts of Kyiv after pumping equipment lost power. Six people were reported killed in the western city of Lutsk and three in Kyiv during the attacks. #kyiv #ukraine #russiaukrainewar #russianstrikes #kyivmetro
