Crosswalk markings can be difficult to see at night, posing a danger to pedestrians and drivers. To address the problem, a tourist attraction in east China's Anhui Province has installed a device that projects an illuminated crosswalk onto the road and changes color with the traffic signal. Green or red bars light up the crossing, accompanied by countdown numbers, symbols and safety messages that make it immediately clear whether pedestrians should cross. Developed by a company in Shenzhen, the technology could also be used in other traffic and road-safety settings. #FrontlineStories 📺 Subscribe to our YouTube channel and stay updated with our latest analysis and interviews:👇 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgrNz-aDmcr2uuto8_DL2jg 👈 Download our APP on Apple Store (iOS): https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cctvnews-app/id922456579?l=zh&ls=1&mt=8 Download our APP on Google Play (Android): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.imib.cctv For more: https://www.cgtn.com/
