How does heat move through the atmosphere? In this lesson for high school students, we will describe three mechanisms of heat transfer: radiation, conduction, and convection. We will learn how these mechanisms of heat transfer occur in the atmosphere and impact weather and climate patterns. We will also investigate the greenhouse effect (both natural and human-enhanced) and explain its impact on Earth’s temperature. This lesson is from MiaPrep's Environmental Science course.
