A 60-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed on Strandherd Drive near Cresthaven Drive in Barrhaven early Wednesday morning. The collision is the third fatal crash on Ottawa roads in five days, renewing concerns about safety at the busy intersection. Ottawa Police say the city has recorded 29 traffic-related deaths in 2026, already exceeding the 23 recorded in all of 2025. CTV’s Katelyn Wilson reports as police investigate the collision and ask witnesses or anyone with camera footage to come forward.
