U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin has issued a stark warning about President Donald Trump’s political tactics, drawing comparisons between his leadership and the authoritarian playbook of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Slotkin argues that both leaders have used public concerns to gain power, rewarded political allies while targeting critics, and leveraged government institutions to maintain control. Drawing lessons from Hungary and Poland, she highlights how pro-democracy movements can challenge entrenched leadership by exposing corruption, addressing economic concerns, and building broad political coalitions. Her warning has reignited debate over democratic institutions, executive power, and the future of American democracy under Trump. Could Hungary’s political experience offer important lessons for the United States? #ElissaSlotkin #DonaldTrump #ViktorOrban #TrumpVsOrban #Authoritarianism #AmericanDemocracy #DemocracyUnderThreat #PoliticalNews #USPolitics #TrumpAdministration
