The Yalu River Bridge connecting China with North Korea officially opened to traffic on October 15, with a joint opening ceremony held by the two countries. The project has been long-awaited, with construction of the 3,026-metre-long bridge first beginning in 2010. In a video address during the opening ceremony, Chinese Premier Li Qiang was reported by Chinese state media as saying that "relations between China and North Korea have entered a new stage, embarking on a new chapter". • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@itvnews?lang=en Follow ITV News on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on X: https://twitter.com/itvnews
