Marques Brownlee has said that manufacturers do not pay him for reviews and that, at the end of the day, he works for the viewer. In this video, I wanted to look at what that actually means when he still benefits from things like early access, review units, invitations and affiliate links. This video is my opinion and criticism of the ideas and claims discussed. I use a few short clips from MKBHD’s video where needed to show what I’m responding to. Original MKBHD video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nLWTVTwOhY&t=1s This video is not meant to harass Marques Brownlee, MKBHD, his team, or anyone else mentioned. Please keep any disagreement focused on the arguments in the video.
