Mortal Kombat Trilogy HD Remake just dropped another huge development update, this time showcasing our first gameplay look at UMK3 Liu Kang! The free fan-made project from developers Interloko and Nostalgick continues to build serious momentum, with the champion of Earthrealm now officially entering production and already showing off iconic moves like the bicycle kick, fireballs, and combo strings in early gameplay. While still a work in progress, this latest build highlights smoother animations compared to previous characters, updated models, and continued improvements as the team refines mechanics, hitboxes, and visual polish. Alongside Liu Kang’s debut, the developers are pushing forward with their ambitious 2026 roadmap, including monthly public betas, rollback netcode implementation, and a steadily expanding roster.
