Dune is one of my favorite science fiction films of all time, with its hyper realism carrying my immersion. But such levels of realism can't just be attained through pure visuals alone, and while the films are hours worth of eye candy, the writing and worldbuilding of this story on top of this level of visual quality is what truly sets it apart.
