US President Donald Trump has posted on Truth Social, warning: "a whole civilisation will die tonight, never to be brought back again" unless Iran reaches a deal on reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Trump has given Iran a deadline of 20:00 EDT Tuesday (00:00 GMT / 01:00 BST on Wednesday) to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The threat came one day after Trump said the US would destroy "every bridge" and power station in Iran if a deal isn't reached. Meanwhile, his Vice President JD Vance - speaking at a press conference in Budapest - says that it's up to Iran to "come to the table", or the "economic situation in Iran will continue to be very, very bad". In mainland Iran, two people have reportedly been killed after a strike on a railway bridge, while train services have been cancelled, according to reports from Iranian media.
