After so much buildup around the original Compound V formula, Bombsight, Soldier Boy, and Homelander’s obsession with becoming something even greater, this is the episode where everything starts paying off in a terrifying way. What makes this one so intense is that both sides are racing toward the same thing for completely different reasons. The Boys are trying to find a way to stop Homelander before it’s too late, while Homelander is looking for the one thing that could make him even more unstoppable. That alone makes the episode feel like a ticking clock, because every scene keeps building toward the question of who is going to get to V1 first. The Bombsight
