Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday visited a site west of Jerusalem that was hit by an Iranian strike, on what he said was the third day of Operation Roaring Lion, which is aimed at thwarting “existential threats to Israel.” Netanyahu thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for “joining this crucial effort to save the world” after U.S.-Israeli strikes killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Khamenei was killed Saturday after the U.S. and Israel launched the most ambitious attack on Iranian targets in decades. Iran called the strikes unproven and illegal and responded by firing missiles at Israel and at least seven other countries that host U.S. military bases.
