U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Monday, "We fight to win," and added, "as the president warned, an effort of this scope will include casualties."   Hegseth honoured the four Americans who have been killed in this war, and those injured, "the absolute best of America."   U.S. General Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said, "This is not a single overnight operation," and added, "We expect to take additional losses and as always, we will work to minimize U.S. losses. But as the secretary said, this is major combat operations."   The U.S. and Israel launched a surprise bombing campaign against Iran on Saturday, which Iranian authorities say killed more than 200 people in Tehran, including Khamenei and several high-ranking Iranian officials.
