A mass funeral was held on Tuesday for the victims killed in what Iran says was an Israeli-U.S. strike on a girl's school that claimed over 150 lives. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said the children killed in the strike were no threat to the United States' national security. He also questioned: "The nuclear programme that in June you said with certainty was “obliterated” and gone. If it was gone, then what is this renewed war about?" Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Monday that U.S. forces "would not deliberately target a school" after the strike that happened on the first day of the U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran. Meanwhile, the UN human rights office urged an investigation into the school attack.
