A Kelowna family has been shaken after their father, who was visiting from India, was the victim of a daylight stabbing. Tejinder Singh was on a morning stroll when the violent incident occurred. After being approached by a young man who tried speaking to him, Singh made clear he does not speak English. Though he thought the stranger was walking away, he felt a sharp pain in his back, before realizing he was bleeding out. “He thought he only punched him because the pressure was so much,” Singh’s daughter Manvir Sandhu said, adding that her father spent nearly a week of his visit in hospital before being discharged. As Global’s Klaudia Van Emmerik reports, the suspect still hasn't been caught and the family is warning others.
