Sky News host Caleb Bond discusses the Albanese government’s “made-up” intergenerational equity “headline” and the consequences of Labor’s federal budget tax changes. “I'm more and more convinced that the government didn't think beyond this made-up headline of ‘intergenerational equity’ when it put the budget together. Did they think at all about the consequences of these tax changes, particularly to capital gains tax?” Mr Bond said. “The government is struggling big time to sell this budget. It's managed to annoy almost everyone, which is a pretty extraordinary feat. It'll rake in the government some $80 billion of new tax, so it's costing you. The question now is how much will it cost the government?”
