When a mission goes wrong and sends her crashing back to Earth, Carol begins uncovering pieces of a past she doesn’t remember. Set in the 1990s, the film brings Carol into contact with a younger Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, as the two investigate the Skrull threat and the mystery behind Carol’s missing memories. Along the way, Carol discovers that her life on Earth, her friendship with Maria Rambeau, played by Lashana Lynch, and the work of Dr. Wendy Lawson, played by Annette Bening, are all connected to the source of her powers.
