Breaking news as Secret Service agents are responding to shots fired near the White House grounds. Journalists who were reporting from the White House were interrupted by the sound of gunfire. An ABC News reporter and her team took cover as she was reporting from the White House grounds, and later posting on social media that she heard dozens of gunshots. Journalists were told to shelter inside the press briefing room. Unconfirmed reports say two people were shot and wounded in an encounter with Secret Service who were responding to a report of a suspect with a weapon.
